Immersive Multi-User VR Marketplace

Project Description
HoloCommerce is a multi-user virtual reality marketplace that will be realized with Unity, XRI (XR Interaction Toolkit), and C#. This project helped us understand how to create immersive, social shopping experiences using the Meta Quest stand-alone VR device.
The platform allows users to explore products in shared virtual spaces through 360 video previews rendered on inverted spheres, head-tracked spatial audio, and natural locomotion via teleportation. Real-time social presence allows multiple users to interact with each other in real-time, emulating the experience of in-store shopping within a completely virtual environment.
To support seamless interactions in multiplayer mode, the system employs Unity Netcode for GameObjects, Lobby, and Relay for efficient session management and low-latency synchronization on devices. The application is optimized to be run on stand-alone VR hardware by finding a balance between performance, immersion, and network stability.
ImmersaMart demonstrates expertise in XR interaction design, real-time networking, immersive media rendering, and spatial computing, showcasing an end-to-end VR system that fuses technical depth with user-centric experience design.
